THE EFFECT OF DIGITAL LIBRARY AND LITERATURE CULTURE AS A LEARNING RESOURCE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF CIVIC KNOWLEDGE Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung Indonesia Abstract The background of this study is that students in high school level in Bandung have a low reading and writing interest compared to watching or listening. The number of books that have little influence in the low interest in reading students. Currently, the development of digital technology encourages the birth of digital libraries effectively. Digital libraries are present in addressing reading interest issues. Therefore schools should make efforts to implement the school literacy culture program. This study aims to determine: 1) the influence of digital libraries as learning resources to increase civic knowledge; 2) the influence of the use of digital libraries as learning resources; 3) the influence of digital library and school literacy movement as a learning resource to increase civic knowledge. The approach used to reveal problems using quantitative approach aims to find correlation between digital library, school literacy culture and civic knowledge. The data were collected through questionnaires, literature studies, documentation studies, and unstructured interviews as supporting data. Subjects in this study are high school students in Bandung. Research findings: 1) there is a significant influence of high correlation categories between digital libraries to civic knowledge; 2) there is significant influence of medium correlation category between school literacy culture toward civic knowledge; 3) there is a significant influence of high correlation categories between the use of digital libraries as a learning resource to civic knowledge.
